Dr. Evelyn Jabri is Founder and Lead Strategist at E&A Innovation Group, LLC. She leverages her 18-years of experience in business, publishing, and higher education, to provide a range of consulting services to organizations and academic institutions affiliated with the STEM fields. Evelyn also mentors and coaches STEM grad students, postdocs and faculty members considering or who are pivoting towards non-academic careers.
Dr. Jabri’s career path has flowed in different successful directions that allowed her to leverage her love of STEM and hone her business acumen. As Director, Product Strategy at Silverchair Information Systems, Evelyn served as the strategic consultant to numerous STM publishers and partnered with them to develop and deliver business critical digital information products to customers. Before pivoting to a consulting career, Evelyn was Director of Editorial Development at the American Chemical Society (ACS) where she was responsible for the strategic development and significant expansion of the ACS journals and books portfolios. She began her publishing career at Nature Publishing Group working her way through the ranks to senior editor at Nature Structural & Molecular Biology. Prior to becoming an editor, Evelyn was Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Indiana University. She completed her NIH Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Colorado with Dr. Thomas Cech, holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Cornell University, and received double B.A. degrees in Chemistry and MCD Biology from the University of Colorado.
